Hi, my name is Jed and I’m from the UK.

I’ve been playing trombone since I was 9 years old, and since then I have been really interested in music of all forms. I graduated from the University of Nottingham where I studied Music Technology and Composition. During my time at university, I was apart of the great Moonlighter’s Big Band where I gained even more interest in Big Band music and jazz as a whole. This led to me directing the band in my final year, to which our time was cut short due to the pandemic.

After graduating, I started my YouTube channel where I was uploading a few of my compositions and various trombone transcriptions whilst I wasn’t actively playing. I began asking for supporters suggestions of trombone solos to transcribe, which led me down a huge rabbit hole of new music, and even more videos.

Now in 2024, I’ve began playing in a few new big bands which I hugely enjoy, and have been trying to practise more improvisation in my spare time.

I like to keep my transcriptions free and accessible for all, however any additional support is greatly appreciated, and also motivates me to keep the channel going.
